FAMILY MINISTRIES
DEVELOPING STRONG CHRISTIAN MARRIAGES AND FAMILIES 

God designed His body to encourage and support one another. None of us were created to walk alone. We have an innate need for one another in order to experience the fullness of what God has for us. At Convergence we want to provide a base for developing strong Christian marriages and families. We are the Family of God and within that context we provide ministry in a number of areas which help strengthen the entire church family.

MARRIAGE CLASSES
God's plan is to turn raw stones into beautiful gems. He desires to take a couple in their raw state and from that, fashion a beautiful marriage and family. Classes designed to strengthen the marriage are offered twice a year. We currently use a DVD curriculum based on the book Love & Respect by Emmerson Eggerich. Coupled with the wisdom and experience of our Family Ministries pastor, Gary Galloway and his wife, Joquetta, this class is an invaluable resource for any relationship. 

LOVE AND RESPECT
Tuesday: 7-9 p.m.
Sept. 7 thru Dec. 14.

“Love & Respect” is a DVD marriage enrichment class based on the book by Emerson
Eggerich. Gary & Joquetta Galloway will lead this class. Each class has a DVD portion along
with group interaction and activities designed by the Galloways. Plan to come for enjoyable and
invigorating meetings. The class is open to singles as well as married couples.
We have heard over and over from participants: “This has been life changing!”
Cost: $20.00 per couple or single for the class and workbook. Sign-up is required. Sign-up in
the church foyer. Paid child care is available at a reduced rate of $2.50 per child, per week

MARRIAGE EVENTS
Getting away from home base and taking advantage of other events in the Body of Christ is healthy and invigorating. We organize a marriage retreat each year as well as encourage couples to attend local and regional marriage conferneces.

RADIANT MARRIAGE RETREAT
Friday, 7 p.m., Nov. 19 thru Sat. 4 p.m.
Come away with Gary & Joquetta Gallolway to Riverbend Retreat Center for a weekend of fun
and renewal. Recharge your marriage batteries and be touched by the Lord. You will learn
helpful ways to strengthen your communication, resolve conflict and enhance your love life.
Cost: $95.00 per couple (Includes seminar materials, fri. night room; sat. breakfast & lunch)
Note: A love offering will be taken at the retreat for the Galloways.

FAMILY FORCE
Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm
August 4 - September 8 

Family Force is an ongoing forum that’s designed to help us create a culture of honor in our homes and make our families a force for the Kingdom of God. Facilitated by Wendy Dermott, it provides parents with the opportunity to build relationships in a discussion setting that allows them to share and apply the principles drawn from the book and video Loving Our Kids on Purpose by Danny Silk.  

Paid childcare is available at a reduced rate of $2.50 per child per week. Partial scholarships may be available.
