You have been consecrated and set apart for an intended purpose, having been made holy by Him! Renew your mind to the NT truth that your old, un-renewed self was nailed to the Cross with Christ in order to put your sin nature to death.Having been buried with Christ in the waters of baptism, it is no longer you that live, but Christ that lives in you.Not only were you forgiven, but your sin nature was done away with COMPLETELY.The old man is DEAD,and you have been raised to walk in the newness of life by His Spirit within you. It is beneficial, therefore, for you to walk in who He made you to be by His FINISHED work at the Cross: “the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.Then you will be able to prove the perfect and acceptable will of God.Throw off the old garment of things that so easily beset you, and "put on the garment of Christ".(53 min)

8-29-10 - Steve Fish - Exponential Increase & Rapid Acceleration

We are in that season spoken of by the prophets where the reaper will overtake the sewer. There are seeds we’ve sewn which have long lain dormant about to produce a bountiful harvest. However, as we practice for eternity, know that we haven’t seen anything yet! The Lord is looking for three very important attributes in this season: Are you connectible, anointable and ignitable? As we connect relationally in the Body of Christ the anointing will rise in the House. In this atmosphere we will be able to pour the overflow into one another. Those who lack what we have will be able to drink from our abundance in a given area, and that which we have needed is available to us through those who have excess in a different gift and anointing. Ephesians 2:19-22 declares that “we are being built up together to become a dwelling of God”. Just being together releases encouragement to the Body which will ignite those around us who have yet to catch the Fire! (35 min)

God is a loving Father, and it is important for us to learn to relate to Him as that. No performance is required to gain His love or acceptance. However, as we struggle along the journey of life, the enemy loves to put pressure on us to get it right. God says, “I’ve made you right – take My hand and walk with Me.” Many times we miss God’s plan because of wrong expectations about what we think God expects of us! Though we should always expect God to move on our behalf, improper expectations are rooted in fear which lead to disappointment, causing us to either be offended, or to become more religious. The Father sent the Son to us clothed in humanity to demonstrate how to live as a man in right relationship with the Father Who was led by the Spirit. This is a condition of the heart that comes through intimacy. Taking small steps and inquiring of Him about how to walk with Him one day at a time will keep us in the process and lead us to victory! God needs fathers and mothers to convince the world’s orphaned nations of His great love for them. Intimacy with the Lord as sons and daughters upgrades our revelation of His love, adequately equipping us to represent it to others. Finding God in the hard places sets us on the road to being transformed into His likeness from Glory to Glory. There are two things Daddy God wants us to grasp fully beyond theory in this process: 1) He is in us and has given us all power and authority. 2) He is with us – never leaving or forsaking us! God’s Word expresses His desire for us to know these things by experience so that, like Paul, we may be “fully persuaded”. In those difficult times, we become overwhelmingly convinced of and secure in His Love for us. It is then impossible for the enemy to convince us of his lies to the contrary. God's sufficient Grace in all circumstances overflows in our heart with a song that can be sung in any language of the world: OUR FATHER IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!(53 min)

Satan’s pathway to our inner man through a spirit of fear gives him access to deceive us about our God-given identity. He does so by convincing us that the old man is not dead. Afraid of the old man’s behavior, we continually attempt to resurrect him out of the watery grave of the baptismal font in an attempt to teach him to behave “right”. Restlessly, we struggle to find a way for our soul and spirit to live in a unified state as God intended. Having been deceived that being real will bring rejection, we create an altar ego to pose for us publically. Sadly, we end up pretending to be someone other than who God says we really are. Abba Father wants us to know that we are no longer orphans but sons in Christ Jesus! Having received the Spirit of Adoption, we are free to draw nigh to Him without fear and walk in the newness of life that the Lord intended for us. The Holy Spirit equips us to expose the enemy’s lies through the illumination of God’s marvelous Light! (30 min)

8-1-10 - Steve Fish - A Season To "Lay Aside"

We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who are cheering us on to finish the race they did not. The victory belongs to us all, but God is saying there are some things that will need to be laid aside in order to go beyond where our forefathers left off. Don’t struggle alone with guilt and shame from secret sin which bogs us down and keeps us from crossing the finish line. The writer of Hebrews admonishes us to “see to it that no one comes short of the Grace of God”. Translated, that means “to be behind”. Many times we are operating in the Grace that worked last season, failing to recognize the change or shift requiring fresh Grace for the new season we are entering. We must recognize His Grace accompanies as well as awaits us in the place of advancement. Esau lacked the discipline it took for this, and lost his inheritance. The Lord has given us cheerleaders to encourage us as we sew to the season of great difficulty to reap a harvest of great rewards.

7-25-10 - Matt Bomhoff - God's Acceleration Gym

Consistent time in God’s Gym will prepare us to succeed in a season of acceleration. Hebrews 12:1,2 instructs us to “throw off every encumbrance, distraction or unnecessary weight that entangles us or holds us back from fully focusing on running well with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that He has set before us”. This will require discipline. In the Greek, the word for disciplines is “Paideia”, which means “to train or instruct in a way that increases learning, nurtures growth, and molds character”. Discipline may seem painful at the time, but afterwards, yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. We must be intentional to cultivate intimacy with the Lord, exercising foresight in securing God’s Grace, in order to obtain our inheritance. Let us look to Jesus – Who is not only the Author and Source of our faith, but the Finisher Who brings us to maturity and perfection! (52 min)

7-18-10 - Mark Snider - Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs

True worship comes from the heart. Being physically present in a worship session does not mean our heart was engaged with His presence to worship Him. We miss what He has for us when we fail to do this. Sometimes we confuse the old hymns from denominational song books as Psalms. When Paul & Silas were imprisoned in Philippi, they weren’t singing songs from the Red Hymnal. They were singing Psalms like, “The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever!” Tehilla in Jewish tradition is true, face to face, from the heart, in His presence worship to the Lord. It is in that anointed place where we come to realize the multifaceted character of the awesome God we serve. There we can see why the 24 elders couldn’t stop bowing on their face before him, or the winged creatures around the throne of God continue to cry “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!” In this anointed place the yoke of bondage is broken, and many times the long-awaited breakthrough to our needs comes through! We have been created to overflow with the Spirit of God. The Greek word for “power” used in Acts 1:8 concerning what would happen after the Holy Spirit comes upon us is where we get the word “dynamite”. It literally means “power, strength, or capability”. Therefore, you could say that we are a Holy Spirit Explosion waiting to happen, bringing Heaven to Earth! When we pray in the Spirit, we are strengthened in the inner man, and are ever reaching new realms of intimacy never before achieved. The gift of tongues is designed to pop us back into the River when we are dry. These intimate Holy Spirit interludes make it possible for us to not have to figure out the Book without the Author! The natural, carnal mind has enmity with God, so praying in tongues gives us direct revelation to the treasures He has hidden in His Word for us! (47 min)

In the crawling stage, a baby sees so many things just beyond its reach that they aspire to attain. It gives the baby the incentive needed to push beyond the current limitations to obtain that which is just out of its grasp. As God’s little children, the more of the Kingdom we realize, the more of it we want. God loves us too much to allow us to remain where we are. The mysteries of His Word are hidden there for us, not from us. It is the Glory of God to conceal a matter, but it is our glory as priests and kings in His Kingdom to search out every matter. Wherever a void exists in our life, it is an invitation to seek more of Him. At times, as we progress from crawling to walking, the grooming process can be uncomfortable. But each step leads us closer to the greatness that awaits us, knowing we shall receive the Prize of the High calling which is in Christ Jesus. The prize: Higher places that take us deeper with the Father than ever before. (43 min)

6-27-10 - Steve Fish - Expand Your Prayer Muscles!

God has given us an awesome gift that enables us to strengthen ourselves in the Lord. Our prayer language is a private and secure form of direct communication with the Father. There is a prayer meeting going on inside of us all the time because the Trinity perpetually resides within us! The gift of being able to speak in tongues is a two-edged sword where WE speak, but the SPIRIT gives the utterance. As we yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit within us, our natural mind is by-passed. God designed it that way because the natural mind is opposed to the things of the Spirit. When we seem to be at an impasse and don’t know how to pray, Holy Spirit intercedes for us in direct alignment with the Father’s will! This renders our natural mind unproductive and unfruitful. In other words, we are able to stop trying to figure out the problem on our own, thereby allowing Him to download the answer to us in our circumstances. Just one revelation from Him brings the breakthrough we need!(33 min)

The gospel comes with a generational mandate. I encourage all fathers to stop hiding what God has done, big or small, and communicate a vision for greatness to the next generation. Doing so will make way in the spirit realm for their children to remember and walk according to the precepts and miracles God wants to release as an inheritance to them. Honoring our father and mother is the first commandment with a blessing attached to it – “that all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.” Life & inheritance come through honor. That is why we must be alert to the enemy’s perverted attempts to steal this blessing from us. Since the spirit is eternal, what God has given to us doesn’t go to the grave, but is passed down to our offspring. “Fathers, train up your children in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.” Why? Because we have paid it forward to establish the blessing of our inheritance that God intended for our families!

Scientists are excited about things they thought were previously undetectable which are now being revealed by their fancy telescopes. However, according to scripture, His Word is still out there continuing to create! For ever since the creation of the world, His invisible nature and attributes, the very fingerprint of God have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made. Sunday was an exercise in daring to tap into God’s infinitely vast creativity that absolutely boggles the human mind! Even more amazing is that He has chosen us as a dwelling place to house this magnificent creativity. (74 min)

Within each of us is an altar ego, a false identity, an impostor.Satan convinces us that our weaknesses will be exposed in the light, and therefore an understudy of ourselves would be more readily accepted. Ephesians 5 says that the things done in secret are shameful to even speak of, so naturally, the enemy would love to isolate us there in order that our sin or weakness is able to maintain control over us. Christ is inviting us into His Light where we have been delivered from shame - where the works of the enemy are exposed and destroyed! Satan ceaselessly lures us into the shadows away from our true identity in Christ by blinding us with subtle deceptions about our God-given destiny.The Impostor will never be able to fulfill the assignment the Lord has given to the real you. The Father has placed deep within each of us a desire for us to know Him and be known by Him.
