Convergence House Of Prayer

Convergence House of prayer is a place to minister to the Lord’s heart, to love Him & be loved by Him, to seek Him & be found in Him, to know the desires of His heart & intercede for those desires to be made manifest in the world.

Join us!

Convergence House Of Prayer is a place for anyone to come & minister to the Lord. You’re welcome to come dance, soak, pray, do art, work online, all in the presence of our Great God.
We have corporate prayer sets every Thursday in the sanctuary from 9am – 1pm CST.
We also have devotional sets from 1p – 3p where prayer and worship are released on campus. These sets are currently by invitational only.

WHAT IS A HOUSE OF PRAYER

Jesus said “My house shall be called a house of prayer.”(Matthew 21:13),  so what did He mean by this? He was speaking to those who were in the temple who had made it a “den of thieves”.  So what is prayer? It is not bartering or begging God to receive what you want from Him. Rather, it’s the constant flow of relationship between God & man. If we are to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), then prayer is more than just words. It’s a heart posture. Prayer is simple. There is not a ten step process that must be followed in order to pray. In prayer, there is freedom to express relationship, and relationship with the Living God looks different in every person.

Thus, a House of Prayer is a place for these expressions of relationship to be practiced and released.

You will find the House of Prayer to be a place where thanksgiving of all kinds — speaking, singing, playing an instrument, painting, dancing, working, crying, laughing, drawing —  are expressed to the Lord to minister & commune with Him.

BEING A MINISTER

If you are a born again believer, you became a minister when you were united with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Before our High Priest, Jesus, reconciled us back to God, only the Levites could commune with God, and even of those, only the high priest could enter into the Holy of Holies once a year, and not without blood. Now that the blood of the Perfect Sacrifice has been placed in the Mercy Seat in Heaven, the veil has been torn & communion with God is available for those who have faith in the blood of Christ. The longing in the believer’s heart to be united with God is now fulfilled, and thanksgiving, worship, & intercession are now natural behaviors to those who have been born again into a new nature. This role of ministers of reconciliation is not for a select few but open to all of Christ’s body.
